How sync works

Everything you change on the phone is saved on the phone first, then sent to FieldOS as soon as there's a connection. Changes your team makes, on the web or their phones, come down the same way. Pull down on a list to check for updates now.

New records show Pending

A job, estimate or invoice you create offline gets its number (like JOB-0042) from FieldOS when it syncs. Until then it shows Pending where the number would be.

When two people change the same thing

If someone else changed a record while you were offline, FieldOS asks which version to keep: Keep my version or Keep their version. Notes are never lost this way; both sides' notes are kept.

A change that won't go through

If FieldOS turns a change down (for example, the record was deleted on the web), the phone tells you why. Discard drops that change and puts the phone back to what FieldOS has; Discard all does it for every failed change.

Signing out clears FieldOS from the phone, so let your changes sync first.
